Immediately after parent reel, a camber bar is provided and we have experience of good spreading by such a arrangement . We have developed and patented a special spreading bar to achieve excellent results.

| ROLLER GUIDEWAYS |

During earlier years Slit rolls were wound around a steel mandrel and the steel mandrel used to be supported in "U" brackets. There were serious problems of 'Interweaving and telescoping' with such mandrel winding. Further, mandrel removal was cumber some and time consuming.
This was replaced by shaftless winding, necessitating axial pressure on paper cores. Reactions of this axial force onto the Vertical guideways started giving new problems. This was overcome buy providing antifriction guiding of core box.
Rollers on hardened steel guides on our machines, provide excellent antifriction arrangement and ensure smooth sliding of corebox when the wound roll grows larger. We have met this prerequisite excellently.

| SLITTERS |

We provide both Shear slitting and Tangent slitting arrangements to suit Customer preference. Pneumatic clamps are provided for bottom knives to enable fast resetting of knives. Pneumatic cylinders are provided on each top slitter for fast engagement & disengagement by push buttons.
We have very good experience in achieving clean slitting on a variety of grade of papers. We provide one roll before and one roll after the knives in tangent slitting, giving trouble free slitting action under all conditions.

| BEARINGS |

All Bearings are of reputed make like SKF / FAG / INA procured directly from manufacturer or through reputed authorized dealers like “ DURGA”. All bearings are liberally dimensioned and calculated for long trouble free life of 10 years for 2 shift operation. To eliminate bearing failure due to alignment errors, self aligning bearings are used as per SKF /FAG recommendations. Bearing failure is Unheard of in U-MAC machines. |
| ELECTRONIC WEB TENSION CONTROL |

Load cells provided under measuring r olls continuously monitor the tension in the web and even minute variations, with respect to set value, generates an electronic signal, which is converted into pneumatic pressure, using an imported I/P convert or and sent to sensitive diaphragm cylinders of the brake on parent-Reel axis. This system works very well and reliability is also very good. We give guarantee and backup service, so long as you desire.
Different grades of paper require different Web tension values as shown in the graph. Operator can set the desired value of tension and monitor it on the gauge provided at Control Station (See Figure of control station)
Additionally the IP Convertor also will indicate instantaneous variation w.r. to set value.

A fairly sophisticated Electro- hydraulic control is provided and salient features are:
Nip load between II drum and wound-roll will be maintained at a constant value,
irrespective of wound roll size (This is a basic requirement for controlled hardness and density of
wound roll)
Fully wound roll can be lowered smoothly on to the floor without any damage.
Axial thrust on to the core shaft can be precisely set.
Safety interlocks are provided between Nip, Craddle and ejector Cylinders.
All Cylinders can be actuated manually as well as in automatic cycle.
German variable delivery pump is provided, so that there will be no overheating of oil. Power
consumption is also kept to a minimum.
Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics and Hydraulics are designed as per international standards
(Vickens, Rexroth, Siemens, Festo elements are used for high reliability)

| TWIN DRUM DRIVE |

We have excellent understanding and field experience in implementing drive system for rewinders. Tension, Torque, Wrap, Nip, over speed and position of camber bars and bow rolls play vital role in achieving a good rewinding. In finer papers, frictional pulls on the web also should be monitored and “helping drives” are to be provided to most of the auxilary rolls. Fine air cushion grooves are also to be provided in such cases.
We give technical support to select the appropriate drive ( Siemens, ABB, L&T, Danfoss etc., )

| BRAKE |
Both Shoe type and multiplate type brake are available. In both cases actuator is diaphragm cylinder as it is within the servo loop of self regulation. Diaphragm cylinders have no friction in its characteristic and hence it is more suitable in automatic controls.
Water cooling is a standard feature of all our brakes and the piping system is very tidy. |
| TRIM REMOVAL |

Manual trim removal is messsy and labour intensive and our suction- trim removal is neat and efficient. For higher grade, a trim cutter is integrated on the suction side of blowers, for efficient transporation of trims, back onto pulper.

Rewound rollers are held in "Self holding chucks" to ensure safety even during power failures. Additional disc brakes on rollers are also available for rapid stopping of machine. |
